Conservation photographer and wildlife biologist
I am a conservation photographer with extensive experience working in wildlife conservation, from coastal California to the rainforests of Brazil. My mission is to involve more people in conservation through visual storytelling, inspiring them to take action to conserve the natural environment.
I have always had a huge passion for wildlife, particularly animal behavior. Following this passion, I’ve spent over fifteen years working with wildlife conservation, studying a variety of species, from endangered carnivores to the social behavior of marmoset families.
Living in Brazil allowed me to witness firsthand the wonders of its high biodiversity and pristine ecosystems. However, during this time, I also witnessed these very same ecosystems vanishing due to manmade degradation and destruction.
The hardships of working as a conservation practitioner made me realize that conservation work is not showcased and is often misunderstood and underappreciated by the general public. As a consequence, many ecosystems and endangered species remain unknown, and conservation initiatives do not receive the support that they need and deserve.
My goal is to make this information easily accessible, involving more people in conservation through visual storytelling. By bringing people closer to the natural world and showcasing the importance of the ecosystems and wildlife around them, I aim to inspire people to take action to conserve it.
I am a member of Her Wild Vision Initiative and the North American Nature Photography Association
